This is the purification sand from Futami Okitama Shrine in Ise. Since ancient times, it has been revered as a shrine for purification before visiting Ise, known as Hama-mōde (beach pilgrimage). The Meoto Iwa (Married Couple Rocks) depicted on the bag are famous. Please refer to the included instruction manual for how to purify (sprinkle the sand in the four corners and the center, or at the entrance).
