This is a pencil with Bach's signature that I purchased when I went to Leipzig, Germany. Johann Sebastian Bach (1685-1750), the composer and musician, was born in Eisenach, Thuringia. However, he spent about half of his creative life, which spanned approximately 47 years, as the Thomaskantor (music director) of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig, and he ended his life in Leipzig. Therefore, there are Bach statues and various Bach souvenirs throughout the city. Would any music lovers be interested?
