This is worn over a kimono. It helps to keep the kimono from getting dirty. It was purchased from my mother's favorite kimono shop. Made of 70% polyester and 30% silk, it has a sheen and a luxurious feel. It's also light and easy to move in, which is recommended. Why not wear it as a haori at home, not just with a kimono?
