This is a Wakasa-nuri confectionery bowl that came out of the storehouse. The lid is about 14cm square, and the body is box-shaped with a rounded form. I believe it's from the early Showa era. The design is made with abalone shell and eggshells, and the base color is lacquer applied over gold leaf. There are small chips on the edge of the lid and in the middle of the inside. I think it's something that can be repaired. It has a color scheme that is rare nowadays.
