Thank you for your understanding. ☺️ This is a piece by Ikumi Hiruma, a ceramic artist with a studio in Nara. I purchased it at an exhibition in Tokyo. It has a cream color with a slightly faded, antique-like design. The size and the inward curve make it suitable for dishes like curry, stews, salads, or hearty soups. I have used it about 3 times. There is a crack about 5cm long, but it is not a crack through the piece. (See image 4) Please consider this as a characteristic of pottery and understand this point. The underside also has a cute cat design, which is very lovely. *Please refrain from purchasing if you are sensitive to such details. ⚫︎ Design The vessels, created by collaging original transfer paper and other materials, have an air of European antique tableware, exuding a wonderfully nostalgic atmosphere. Gentle ivory color with cats and beautiful flowers arranged on it, giving it a charm that seems to tell a story. Even with the same arrangement, the expression of each piece changes due to the firing process, the color of the vessel itself, and the shading of the transfer paper, making each one even more special.
