For sale is a SONY Walkman WM-109. It's rare to find these in working condition. I was able to acquire one in very good condition and have had it overhauled, so I'd like to offer it for sale. It uses an aluminum body, and I feel it inherits the DNA of the WM-501. It's about the same size as a cassette tape case. According to online information, it seems to be the culmination of the next generation of product development, focusing on how to make things smaller. This product has a well-thought-out mechanism, miniaturizing the mechanism structure of a radio cassette player and fitting it into this small chassis. The following overhauls were performed on this unit: * Removal, cleaning, and removal of stuck parts of each gear, and greasing (high-performance grease with PTFE particle blending) * Capstan shaft polishing (using Piccard) * New replacement of drive rubber belt The rubber belt has been replaced with a new one. * New replacement of pinch roller The pinch roller has been replaced with a new one. * Motor overhaul Due to aging, the drive motor can experience increased friction in the internal rotating system, weakening the motor's power, or causing problems such as abnormal noises from the motor itself. Therefore, the drive motor was disassembled, overhauled, and lubricated with high-performance oil for the rotating system. It has been improved to rotate incredibly quietly and smoothly.
