This is an Imari-yaki sometsuke (blue and white) ring-shaped dish with a takokarakusa (octopus arabesque) design. The takokarakusa pattern, drawn with varying shades of indigo, is beautiful, and a geometric pattern is placed in the center. There are some chips and scratches on the rim from use, but overall it is in good condition. It has a strong presence as a decorative dish and will add color to a Japanese-style space.
