This is a traditional craft from the Kuba Kingdom, which existed in the Republic of Congo, Africa. "Kuba Cloth" is woven using raffia, a plant from the palm family. The unique distortions and imperfections that arise from being handmade give each piece its own character. It has the appeal of a one-of-a-kind item, similar to a hand-woven rug. It's not very heavy, so you can hang it on the wall with pins. When displayed on the wall, it gives a soft and warm impression to the room.
