This is a Bizen-yaki single-flower vase. It's a small, miniature size, about 8 centimeters tall. It's a work by Atsuji Matsumoto. Despite its small size, it has a wonderful "sanshiki" (mountain-cut) natural glaze, typical of Bizen-yaki. It's a lovely piece of pottery, a testament to the craftsmanship of a climbing kiln.
