It can be used on your back or over your shoulder. This is a convenient item for those who use public transportation. When not in use, it can be stored inside the hard case. Since the sizes vary slightly depending on the manufacturer, it's adjustable. It can also be used sideways as a 2-way option. I walked around with it on my back the other day and had no problems, so I think it's durable. Please note that the stitching is done by hand by an amateur, so there may be some unevenness.
