Acquired around 1982 when technopop was popular. These are official Adidas basketball referee shoes. They may be parallel imports, as they might not have been listed in the Kanematsu Sports catalog at the time. They don't feel like typical Adidas, lacking the three stripes. They're not as sporty as Stan Smiths, but have a more minimalist, almost Muji-like feel. I loved them as a fashion statement and kept them at my parents' house, never throwing them away. Looking online, it seems there have been re-releases, but this particular model is from around 1982. It might be quite rare for sneaker collectors. The soles show no signs of hydrolysis so far. The leather is also reasonably soft. I think they'll look great with some shoe polish and cream. I hope to find someone who will appreciate them.
