Purchased new in June 2023. I brought it to fishing spots for eging and octopus fishing, but I only used the gaff twice. I have not scooped any fish or other creatures with the net. There are few scratches except for the end cap, and the extension and retraction are very smooth. The metal fittings for hooking onto belts, etc., have been adjusted to my preferred angle.
