Our Bizen ware begins with crushing Bizen clay.
It is fired in a kiln that uses no electricity, gas, or kerosene.
Once a year, for about two weeks, the fire is kept burning continuously.
The items are slowly fired at a temperature of around 1200 degrees Celsius at the kiln.
Ten days later, they are taken out of the kiln, lightly polished,
hand-washed, and checked for water leaks before being shipped.
We hope you enjoy the unique texture of Bizen ware,
and the changes that occur as you use it over time.
