Antique tile from the Desvres company, founded in northern France in 1764. Although there is no stamp on this tile, it was purchased from the same place, so it is likely to be Desvres. The market price for well-preserved tiles, not just Desvres, is close to 8,000 yen or more. I think it's wonderful that these tiles, which were used for walls, have been carefully removed one by one and passed down as antique tiles. Many of the blue paintings are also handmade and beautiful, and the surface still has a good shine. Desvres has many other patterns as well. Slightly chipped on the side, and the dirt on the back can be removed with a quick polish. As well as being used as a tile, it can also be used as a coaster, a place to put plants, a soap dish, a trivet with felt attached, and French antique dealers use them as small plates during aperitifs, which I thought was very nice.
