Kendo armor set for sale. A protective gear bag (please consider it as a bonus) is also included. This armor was purchased by my mentor to commemorate his 8th dan qualification. It is no longer in production, but I fell in love with it and persuaded him to give it to me. Although there is some aging, it is still usable. My mentor and I used it three times at the Kyoto Tournament. It's old armor, so the condition isn't perfect, but I've taken good care of it. I have decided to give up kendo due to a chronic backache, so I would like to pass it on to someone who will continue to cherish it. I believe it was 1.2 bu (a unit of measurement for thickness), but I've forgotten whether it was 1 bu. The men (face guard) and tare (waist protector) were recently cleaned at a specialist shop. I haven't used them since they were cleaned. I considered cutting the long men tare (face guard flaps), but when I put it on, I liked the length, so I didn't cut it. The uchimawa (inner lining) looks dirty in the photos, but this is due to color fading. (If you are concerned about the color fading, you can apply some dye to the uchimawa.) The mengane (face grill) is made of nickel silver, and there is some aging on it. There are also some issues with the do chikawa (chest leather straps) (the do dai - chest plate - is still in good condition), a few spots on the kote (gauntlets) (there are no tears in the tenouchi - palm), and small holes in the tare himo (waist protector cords), but the only part that needs immediate repair is probably the do chikawa.
