Handmade Mittens for children with disabilities, for caregiving. Originally, I made these for my daughter, whose peripheral circulation in her hands was poor, even indoors, causing them to turn black and purple. I started making them based on a hint from a nurse during her hospitalization. These mittens don't have a thumb, designed for children with central nervous system disorders who tend to clench their fists. They are made with extra-thick double-bonded boa fleece that fills the gaps between the fingers to keep them warm. The outer side is also made of double-knit fabric, suitable for outdoor cold.
