The Choju-jinbutsu-giga is a picture scroll held at Kozan-ji Temple in Kyoto and is designated as a National Treasure. It consists of four volumes: Ko, Otsu, Hei, and Tei, and was created from the late Heian period to the Kamakura period. The most widely known is "Ko-kan" (Volume Ko), and because of its humorous depiction of personified animals (rabbits, frogs, monkeys, etc.) with abundant dynamism, it is said to be "the oldest manga in Japan." The patch is of the famous scene from Volume Ko where a rabbit is biting the ear of a frog wrestling, and the surrounding rabbits are laughing. I bought it as a souvenir during a Ukiyo-e exhibition a few years ago. The size is about 5cm for one animal. The capsule toy figure is of a monkey from "PUTITTO Choju-giga." I got it from a gachapon machine about 9 years ago. The size is about 6.5cm. (The plastic stand used for the photo is not included) I have put together a set of two [Choju-giga] goods.
