The wood is not burnt cedar to allow it to breathe and easily adjust the humidity inside. The goal is to maximize the bees' vitality by creating a more natural environment. A beehive that easily adjusts humidity produces honey with a higher sugar content. The comb-fall prevention rods used in the stacking boxes are shaved down to 8mm and fitted in. We use parallel comb-fall prevention rods, and the stacking boxes are stacked so that the rods are alternately vertical and horizontal. This reduces the number of rods that bees dislike while achieving an effect similar to a well shape. It also makes it easier to pass a knife or other blade when harvesting honey. The entrance box uses a sliding entrance board, making it easy to inspect the inside. The board usually has a 6mm high entrance, and by turning the entrance board upside down, you can trap the honeybees, making it convenient for moving the hive.
