I knitted a two-by-two rib stitch hat with 100% wool yarn using knitting needles and attached a pom-pom made with a Clover pom-pom maker. Hand-knitted items made of 100% wool, whether hats or sweaters, are meant to last a lifetime. If you hand wash them in lukewarm water in the spring and lay them flat to dry in the shade, they can be used for generations. On the other hand, synthetic fibers derived from petroleum deteriorate and do not last as long. I've used it once or twice. I hand-washed it with lukewarm water and Acron, spread it out on a flat drying net hung in the bathroom, and dried it in the washing machine's dryer. I have too many hats that I've knitted myself, so I'm offering this one for sale. I'm organizing my belongings. Thank you.
