This is a handmade flower vase (also usable as a single-stem vase) crafted by artisans on Murano Island, famous for its Venetian glasswork. It features Venetian red glass with three-dimensional decorations of 24-karat gold and floral patterns. I purchased it for around 20,000 yen at a shop on Murano Island in Venice during a trip. I have never used it as a vase with water, so there are only minor scratches that don't show up in the photos. The color doesn't come across well in the photos, but the actual color is Bordeaux (deep red). Red is said to be the most durable color. The appearance of the color also changes significantly depending on the lighting, whether it's natural light or various lamps, which is one of its charms.
