I cleaned it as best I could, but it's not perfect, so please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about cleanliness. I couldn't completely remove the odor, so I often aired it out. Occasionally, when rotating, some sand would come out from a gap (inside the dome), so I used tape to prevent clean sand from going into the garbage bag (see photo 8). This didn't affect the use of the product. When I pressed the garbage bag replacement switch, it would do the same thing as the cleaning switch, so when replacing the garbage bag, I would unplug the unit when it rotated to a suitable position and then replace the bag. This didn't bother me at all, as I was unplugging it anyway to slowly clean while replacing the garbage bag. Please purchase only if you understand the above. Recommended for those who want to try an automatic toilet or for those with multiple cats who want to add another one.
