There was a small chip on the beak from the time of purchase. When touched, it feels less like a chip and more like a flaked glaze. Please check the close-up photos. It has watched over my shelf for many years, but I am now selling it to declutter. There is something like a signature on the back, but I can only make out "HANDMADE." The pose, with its wings spread, the warm gray base with blue-green wings, and the gentle expression looking slightly to the side, make it a very atmospheric object. Thank you for your interest.
