Overview: Sony's last monaural tape recorder. While many recently refurbished units are available with just a belt replacement, this alone doesn't fully fix the issues. The unit I'm offering is priced higher, but it corrects problems that others haven't addressed. Features: * 2x mode. Allows for 90 minutes of recording on one side of a 90-minute tape. * VOR (Voice Operated Recording). When set to high or low, the motor stops when there's about 5 seconds of silence during recording and restarts when sound is detected. Please use the "off" setting normally. * Variable playback speed adjustment * Tape counter * External microphone jack * Cue & Review * External power jack (3V, EIAJ#1 AC-E30M can be used.) * Automatic stop at tape end during recording and playback Repair Details: Please see images 6, 7, and 8. Notes: * This sale is for the unit only. Please prepare 2 AA batteries and a recording tape separately. * This is the first time I've encountered a unit with a broken built-in microphone. I'm maintaining the starting price of 6800 yen this time, but I may raise the price if this becomes a frequent issue. I will ignore price negotiations unless a competitor emerges who offers a similar level of improvement at a lower price. I will gradually lower the price when I feel like it, but the lower limit is 5800 yen. * Many people mistakenly identify this as a Walkman, but this is a monaural cassette recorder. When you connect headphones or stereo earphones, sound will come out of both ears, but it will not be stereo. For listening with one ear, you can use any single-earphone type (2-pole, 3-pole, or 4-pole). * There are quite a few scratches and stains. Please see images 4 and 5.
