Thank you for viewing. This is a pair of maple-patterned namasu dishes purchased at an antique market. Although they have a similar design, they are quite different when you look closely. They are interesting, so I brought them home. Both have pine, bamboo, and plum designs on the inside. These designs also differ slightly when you look closely. The borders have wave patterns, but one also has arabesque patterns mixed in. The bodies have different auspicious plants and flowers. Both have chips and scratches. The one with the leaf veins has a chip on the rim and a 1.5 cm hairline crack from it. The hairline crack doesn't reach the inside, so it can be used without any problems. The one without leaf veins has a chip on the foot. It's not noticeable when placed down. Other than that, there are what appear to be kiln marks.
