I used it for about three years to output 4K 120Hz from a PC that didn't have HDMI 2.1. From a GeForce RTX 2070 to an HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps) compatible TV, I was able to use features like 4K/120Hz/HDR10/RGB full range/eARC/HDCP, which are handled by HDMI 2.1 48Gbps, without any problems. However, perhaps because it's a rather sensitive cable, it will temporarily disconnect if there's a sudden voltage fluctuation from an external source (in my case, the operation of a refrigerator compressor) causing noise.
