This is an early model Summicron 50mm. This is a "Yamazaki Summicron," polished and serviced by Mr. Yamazaki, famous for his lens polishing, with the request to make it perfect, no matter the cost. The optics are like new, so it can be used for decades to come. There is no play in the shooting position, but there is a slight play in the collapsing position. I was told that this cannot be fixed, but it does not affect the photos. Also, there is some minor dust that appeared immediately after polishing and overhaul, but I don't think it will affect the image quality. An early model ITDOO hood, which is also rare, is included. These are no longer produced, and currently, the hood alone costs around 25,000 to 30,000 yen. I think it's a hood you'll want without compromise if you use a Summicron. We will not offer a discount for not including the hood. The rear cap was cracked, so we will include a high-quality silver metal one. Please refrain from negotiating price reductions. There is no Leica M mount option, so it is listed as a Sony mount.
