This is a set of stamps issued in February 2023, received from an acquaintance from Ukraine. It includes one postcard, one envelope, and one commemorative stamp. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about this. ---------- [Description at the time of issue] In Ukraine, one year after the Russian invasion on February 24th, stamps featuring a mural by the anonymous artist Banksy were released. The stamp depicts a small boy throwing a judo-clad adult man, and the Ukrainian Post Office, which is selling the stamps, hopes for a certain victory over Russia. The mural was painted last year on a destroyed building in Borodyanka, near Kyiv. The Ukrainian Post Office interprets the boy as Ukraine and the adult as Russia, explaining, "Our country, smaller than Russia, will fight bravely and win despite all difficulties." A Ukrainian Post Office executive commented, "In 2023, Ukraine will defeat Russia."
