Toshiko Taira worked to improve techniques and train successors, and she is credited with making "Kijoka synonymous with Bashofu." Unfortunately, she passed away in 2022 (Reiwa 4). The base color is the original color of the banana fiber, with simple vertical stripes. The fabric has a smooth texture and is firm, making it very comfortable to tie.
