This is an alto recorder from Schreiber, a famous high-end bassoon maker. It is Baroque style, and the wood is likely maple, the same as used for bassoons. While it shows signs of age, it is almost unused and in beautiful condition. The tone is somewhat unique, with a soft sound that is slightly reminiscent of a shakuhachi.
