Thank you for viewing. Shipping will be closed from December 28th to January 3rd. This is an old Wajima-nuri (lacquerware) set of a tray and bowls. The motif is a gorgeous spring's seven herbs maki-e (sprinkled picture). The daikon radish and turnip are depicted in an outstanding maki-e with a very high relief. The tray has a nashiji (pear skin) finish on the back, making it sturdy. The bowls also feature spring's seven herbs maki-e. A dandelion is painted on the inside of the lid, and delicate maki-e is also drawn on the outside. ○Size Tray: 27.5cm per side, height 3.5cm Bowl: Diameter 11.8cm, height 5.8cm (approx. 8.7cm with lid) Condition The tray has some paint peeling and small scratches on the legs. The bowls have edge damage as shown in the images. Please understand that these are old items that have been stored at home and have aged over time.
