This is a truly exceptional compilation of the ultimate in indie soul. The lineup is mostly unknown, but I immediately grabbed this in '91 when I saw the credit for Curtis Gadson, whom I had been searching for after hearing him somewhere in the past, aside from the well-known Lou Ragland. Those familiar with this genre probably don't need an explanation, but consider this a highly sought-after item for enthusiasts. Please understand that this is a used record, with signs of aging such as scratches on the jacket and some cracking, as well as scratches on the CD itself.
