Maxon SD9 Sonic Distortion MOD for sale. After collecting and comparing parts and sounds from vintage to current models, I've arrived at this modification, which took two and a half years to develop. The modification concept is to combine the best aspects of vintage models (good sound but lacking power) and current models (powerful but thin sound). Based on a current model, I made no changes to the circuit, aiming for a powerful sound with more depth, dimension, and thickness than vintage models. (2) Op-amp sockets are not used because they impair the low frequencies. (3) The gauge of the wiring should not be changed. (4) 22 types of vintage solder were tested, and the best was selected. ----------------------------------------------- This ver.9 uses solder from the US company EMPIRE METAL, from the 1940s to 1950s. Alloy ratio: sn60 / pb40 This solder does not contain rosin, so vintage NOKORODE paste is used. A high-fidelity sound with a biting, raw feel. Similar to ver.8 and 10, but the clarity when rolling back the guitar's volume is better than ver.8. The feeling that every nuance of the left hand touch and picking comes out as sound is common to ver.8, 9, and 10. The solder for ver.8, 9, and 10 is very expensive, all exceeding 30,000 yen per meter!
