MAURO de BARI's processing uses a unique process. Cowhide is shaped without being processed, and then dyed by hand with natural plant-derived dyes (vegetable tanning). The finish is colored by a craftsman with a brush, and then dried in the open air. This finish is called "TUFFATO" (meaning "lightly dipped"), and requires extremely precise work.
