This work is presented by the creative space "Hakuyoukyo." This is a yakishime (unglazed stoneware) piece, made by hand-digging rough clay from the hilly region of northern Hitachi Province, aging it in a clay field for many years, kneading it as is, wrapping it with straw, and then firing it slowly for a long time. It's a yakishime pottery made of red clay that feels good in the hand and enhances the flavor of sake. This is a tokkuri (sake bottle) with a rough, rustic clay texture that is enjoyable.
