This is a set of teacups from Jingdezhen, China. There are two types of small teacups, 4 of each, with slightly different sizes and patterns. They are "Hotaru-yaki" (firefly-fired). The photos don't quite capture it, but the translucent "hotaru" (firefly) design is fantastic and beautiful. Rare item. Teacups Two sets of 4, for a total of 8 pieces. Size: Left cup in photo 1 ★ Diameter approx. 7.5cm, Height 5.5cm Right cup in photo 1 ★ Diameter approx. 7.2cm, Height 5.4cm Jingdezhen is a city in northern Jiangxi Province, famous as a production center for ceramics. The blue coloring technique using cobalt pigment, known as "Seika" (blue and white), is famous. When held up to the light, the marks of the baked rice grains appear bright and translucent like fireflies, hence the name "Hotaru-yaki." There are some scuff marks and stains on the foot of the cups. These items have been stored at home. Please forgive any small oversights as this is a personal inspection.
