The motor installed in Gordon is a "high-power" motor (with a blue mark on the side), which is more powerful due to a slightly different gear ratio. Several "high-power" vehicles appeared in the Plarail series in the early 2000s, but this was the only one in the Thomas series. It was advertised that it could pull up to 10 cars. Several weights are also attached to the boiler and the driver's cab behind the front to give Gordon excellent pulling power. This is an old type of Plarail Gordon that takes size D batteries in the coal car's battery box. The inside of the battery box is clean.
