DigiTech's HOT BOX, a 2-in-1 twin pedal effects unit from the PDS series released in the 1980s. The left pedal is Delay Bypass ♾️Repeat, and the right is Distortion Bypass. Distortion can sometimes blend into the overall band sound or become too dry. In such cases, using delay can help the hard distortion mesh well within the band's performance, adding character to the lead tone that might have been buried (excerpt from a BOSS effects unit explanation). The HOT BOX allows for the operation of distortion + delay, which doesn't get buried by other instruments, all in one effects unit. Delay times selectable are 16MSEC, 63MSEC, 250MSEC, 1SEC, and 1SEC/HOLD, and it has a 1-second looper function. Operation has been confirmed using a 9V battery, and there was no noise or crackling. This is a beautiful, boxed "PDS2730 HOT BOX," which is quite rare among DigiTech's PDS series. Includes original box and manual.
