I've been diligently crafting general-purpose speaker cabinets in my limited free time. I've selected SPF lumber with few knots and used high-quality lauan plywood for the back panel. I hope you enjoy experimenting with this cabinet as a base, adding sound-absorbing materials, swapping out speakers and wiring, and finding your preferred sound. The grain is continuous because the boards are assembled in sequence. The older growth rings (the outside of the tree) are on the outside of the cabinet, just as they were when the tree was alive. The body is joined using half-blind dovetail joints. I try to be as careful as possible in the manufacturing process, but there may be scratches, dents, warping, chips, cracks, color unevenness, paint unevenness, and speaker mounting marks, so please judge from the photos.
