New, Unused Crowther Audio Hotcake V2 I never ended up using it after I bought it! It's a new, unused item! The HOTCAKE 3KNOB has been renewed to have a wider range of tones! The Hot Cake is famous for its thick distortion, like a vacuum tube, but it doesn't have much edge, so it goes well with a bluesy playing style. It works very well with single coils, producing a warm and thick tone. With humbuckers, it can be a bit boomy, and even adjusting the presence may not suit the guitar or style, but it's ideal if you want to get a tone rich in overtones without too much distortion. The Drive knob starts to distort strongly from around 1 o'clock, and the more you turn it up, the more it becomes muffled and compressed. Aiming just before that point will give you a good tone that maintains thickness and clarity.
