This U-shaped head joint is for those who are starting to play the flute, children, and those with smaller physiques. It allows for playing in a natural, comfortable posture. This is a U-shaped head joint that came with the YAMAHA YFL212 model. It was purchased new last year for my elementary school-aged child and used for 4-5 months, but they no longer need it due to their growth, so I am selling it. As it was included with the flute body, there is no dedicated case for the U-shaped head joint. It will be carefully wrapped in cushioning material, placed in a case cover, and shipped in a box.
