Hachioji Manhole Card Lot No. 012 The current design was adopted in 1987. It features a design of the Hachioji Kuruma Ningyo, a nationally important intangible folk cultural property. Kuruma Ningyo is a local performing art that originated in the Tama region during the late Edo period. It is a unique form of puppetry where a single puppeteer manipulates a doll while seated on a box-shaped cart with three wheels called a rokuro-guruma. The design depicts the dynamic dance of Sanbaso, one of the performances of Kuruma Ningyo, with the hope for the future advancement of the sewage system project. Please note that there may be minor scratches due to being hand-distributed. There are no folds or stains, but please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for a perfect item as it has been stored at home.
