"Wind, Sand and Stars" and "Night Flight" Two masterpieces by Saint-Exupéry, a two-book set. This is the old cover edition. The currently published edition features illustrations by Hayao Miyazaki, but I prefer this old cover. Perhaps it's because the abstract art allows me to expand my imagination in any way I like. Both books contain moving stories (both are about aviators), but I especially love "Wind, Sand and Stars." Saint-Exupéry, after crash-landing in the desert and facing death, shouts to everyone in France, "I'm coming to save you!" A man who always rushes to help others, no matter when or where. I think he's an amazing guy.
