It hasn't deteriorated much because it's been stored in an indoor parking garage. Almost no riding in the rain. I took the photos after removing it, so it will look even better and blacker if you clean it with silicone spray, etc. However, please understand that this is a used item, and only purchase if you can judge based on the photos.
