This is a set of five white Arita-yaki porcelain rice bowls with a textured pattern. I found these bowls while cleaning out a storage room. They feature a "hotaru-bori" (firefly carving) design, which is a type of openwork that reveals a floral pattern when held up to the light. These are small but elegant rice bowls. Diameter: Approximately 11.9 cm Height: Approximately 5.2 cm The hotaru-bori design is often found on small bowls, making it unusual for rice bowls.
