This is a prototype of the Ishimori Wood Stone stainless steel tenor saxophone mouthpiece, released at the same time as the highly acclaimed Phlox and Anemos. However, comparing it to the Phlox, the construction clearly leans towards the Phlox design. I've included a photo of the Phlox (7th photo) for comparison. This item is on the left side of the 6th photo. The Anemos is on the right side of the same photo. I also owned the production versions of the Phlox and Anemos. This prototype, as well as the other Anemos I have, seems easier to play than the production models. The blowing feel is maintained, but it's easier to control. Visually, there's no difference, but perhaps there are slight differences in microns. If you're used to playing an Otto Link 7-8⭐, you should be able to play this without any problems. I wouldn't recommend this as a first mouthpiece for classical music. It has power, but it can also handle ballads. Although the stainless steel gives it a slightly different feel, it's easier to play and more powerful than a Theo Wanne Durga mouthpiece. Since it's stainless steel, there shouldn't be any wear, but there are some scratches and dullness from age. It might be possible to clean it with baking soda, but there are no performance issues, so I haven't tried to polish the mouthpiece. Thank you for your understanding.
