"Yokouta" is a style of Ko-sometsuke (old-style dyed porcelain), particularly referring to the patterns seen on porcelain made in the late Ming and Tianqi periods (1621-1627) to the Chongzhen period (1621-1644) in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi, China, and exported to Japan. It is characterized by painterly expressions in a deep blue color, depicting landscapes, flowers and birds, arhats, Daruma, and other motifs. It is also often considered to be a custom order from Japan. This item has been stored unused.
