This piece is a remake of an indigo katazome purchased and repurposed as a tapestry, and has been stored at home for a long time. The backing fabric is men's tsumugi, the border is plant-dyed, and the ornament, resembling a fuchen (decorative weight), is made of honchirimen. Please be aware that this is a handmade piece. I love antique cloth and this is one of the pieces I collected with my mother over several decades. I enjoyed it very much, but I have accumulated similar works, so I have decided to part with it. As it is antique cloth, there are stains, discoloration, and holes. There are also signs of aging, such as discoloration and stains, as a work of art.
