Thank you for viewing. This is a completed 1/24 scale Tamiya Mazda RX-7 R1 model. I purchased it back then and opened it for a temporary assembly, so I built it for the first time in several decades (*^^*) . As the car looks higher than the actual vehicle, I lowered the ride height by shaving the upper part of the shocks by 2-3mm both front and rear. It has a moderate "eight-character" stance (negative camber). Naturally, it's just barely allowing the tires to rotate. Also, because the front wheels became toe-out due to the lowering, I cut the tie rod once and shortened it by about 1mm. The hood can be removed, but the original doesn't have much impact m(_ _)m. Therefore, I modified it to a V-mount specification as a countermeasure against the high temperature of the rotary engine. The radiator was cut off once and placed with the front lowered. The intercooler core was repurposed from another plastic model and made with putty and plastic rods. The core was placed on the right side, and an air filter made of putty was placed in front (^-^). I managed to install it without interfering with the tower bar. It has a powerful look when the hood is opened. The muffler was modified from a two-pipe exhaust from the silencer to a single exhaust using aluminum pipes and aluminum tape. The details from the rear are also superb. Aluminum tape is applied to the inside of the tail lights to give them a shine. I did various things, but it's just a plastic model, so I enjoyed it. The exterior is painted with black spray paint, followed by a water-based top coat. Please refer to the photos for details. Shipping will be done with sufficient care to prevent damage, by putting it in the original box and then in a cardboard box. Since this is a handmade product by an amateur, please refrain from purchasing if you are looking for perfection. Also, in the unlikely event of damage, please repair it yourself. Although not in the photos, the instruction manual is also included.
