This is an ammonite fossil, an ancient creature, purchased over 25 years ago at the Ice Floe Museum in Cape Soya, the northernmost point of Japan. Size: Approximately 12 x 9 x 4 cm Weight: Approximately 340g I am not very knowledgeable, and I believe the darker area in the front of the first image is part of a larger ammonite, but please forgive me if I am mistaken. As the fossil as a whole has no significant deterioration, I have selected "No noticeable scratches or stains."
