I have created a kimono set, combining a haori (jacket) and kimono. I've paired an engi-colored (crimson) kimono with an asanoha (hemp leaf) pattern with a cute chirimen (crepe) haori featuring large-scale temari (decorative balls) and flowers. I've added accents by using a flower-shaped wire fastener for the haori's front and using floral braid as an obi-dome (sash clip). I focused on a nostalgic feel by combining patterned fabrics and contrasting colors! The kimono can be put on and taken off with strings, and the obi (sash) with snaps. I used a sewing machine, glue, fray check, and fabric double-sided tape, with some hand-sewn parts.
